The chow-chow breed is considered to have a low fertility and this report is an in depth study of the reproductive functions of this breed in Sweden. Only 53 % of the Chow-chow matings results in litters. Previous studies of other breeds in commercial kennels shows mating results around 85-90 %, but this has not been investigated in hobby kennels and most Chow-chows which are bred from in Sweden, are kept as family pets. Contrary to most other breeds, Chow-chows show a seasonal reproductive pattern and most litters are born in the autumn. The influence of the month of mating on pregnancy rate and litter size was found to be not significant, but can be considered a trend. Thirty-nine females with previous known fertility problems where studied. Some of them had reached puberty extremely early, at an age between 4-5 months, and many of the bitches showed great fluctuations in intervals between oestrus cycles. Some of the females showed abnormalities such as very short oestrus intervals of only 2-3 months, probably without ovulating.

Every tenth year a financial crisis tend to interfere with an economy. Price bubbles with an accompanying market plunge are therefore not a new phenomenon. Such market disruptions have been causing problems for centuries, as history has a tendency to repeat itself. The intention with this study is to learn more about the bubble phenomenon and increase the knowledge in this area in order to, if possible, prevent such a thing from happening again. The purpose of the essay is to identify factors that significantly affected the development of the so called IT-bubble in Sweden and Finland during the years of 1995-2000.

Finansiella kriser tenderar att drabba ekonomin med ungefär tio års intervaller. Prisbubblor med tillhörande djupdykning på marknaden är således inget nytt fenomen. Denna störning i marknadsharmonin har funnits under flertalet sekler och historien har en benägenhet att upprepa sig. Bakgrunden till studien är således att öka förståelsen för bubbelfenomenet och att, om det är möjligt, förhindra att det händer igen. Syftet med studien är att påvisa faktorer som har haft signifikant betydelse för den så kallade IT-bubblans utveckling i Sverige och Finland under åren 1995-2000.

Den svenska miljöpolitiken innehåller höga mål för reducering av koldioxid de närmaste åren. Om dessa mål skall nås behövs effektiva styrmedel. En miljöbilspremie infördes 1 april 2007 och har till uppgift att höja incitamenten för individer att välja en miljöklassad bil istället för ett fordon med högre koldioxidutsläpp. Ett antal nationella styrmedel för att minska bilismen verkar tillsammans med miljöbilspremien, t.ex. koldioxidbaserad fordonskatt.

Test is an area in system development. Test can be performed manually or automated. Test activities can be supported by Word documents and Excel sheets for documenting and executing test cases and as well for follow up, but there are also new test tools designed to support and facilitate the testing process and the activities of the test. This study has described manual test and identified strengths and weaknesses of manual testing with a testing tool called Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) and of manual testing using test cases and test log templates developed by the testers at Sogeti. The result that emerged from the problem and strength analysis and the analysis of literature studies and firsthand experiences (in terms of creating, documenting and executing test cases) addresses the issue of the following weaknesses and strengths.

I november 2009 avreglerades det svenska apoteksmonopolet för vissa receptfria smärtstillande läkemedel. Syftet med avregleringen var att skapa ökad konsumentnytta genom konkurrens. Potentiella fördelar var en effektivare apoteksmarknad med ökad tillgänglighet, bättre service och ett ökat produktutbud. Konsumtionen hos de aktiva substanserna paracetamol, ibuprofen och acetylsalicylsyra undersöks i denna studie. Eventuella konsumtionsförändringar i samband med reformen diskuteras utifrån resultat av ett Chow test.

Test bench for air bearingsThis thesis work consisted of bringing forward and defining the test parameters relevant for a test bench and constructing a test bench that can test and verify the largest existing air bearings that are of use in Micronic Laser Systems AB machines. Because the knowledge about air bearings is limited it is thought that with the help of the test bench the knowledge would increase and in that way improve the air bearings.After learning more about air bearings and their purpose at Micronic Laser Systems AB, I started the concept phase for the test bench. For each part in the test bench I consulted my two tutors, Torbjörn Hedevärn and Johan Bergqvist, at Micronic Laser Systems AB. The final concepts where documented as 3D-modells in Solidworks and some of them have been tested in Solidworks FEM-program.The test bench is designed so that, with the help of a pneumatic cylinder, 25 kilo weights are placed on the air bearing to test its stiffness, damping and the pressure performance under its surface area. To test these parameters the test bench has to have a pressure meter, accelerometer and a microcator.

This paper investigates the usability of the intelligence test Wechsler Nonverbal Scale of Ability (WNV). Twenty four children in two different age-groups were tested with WNV, 10 children between ages 5 - 6, and 14 children between ages 9 - 10. The WNV turned out to be a useful test when some verbal communication was used in the test situation. This was especially apparent among the younger children, who needed extra verbal instructions and verbal support through the different subtests. The test also contained standardized verbal instructions for all ages.

A personality test is a useful tool in recruitment contexts. Studies have shown that participants distort their answers in a socially desirable manner. The purpose of this study was to investigate if people respond more or less socially desirable depending on how they rate themselves in a personality test, based on the "big five" personality dimensions.Eighty people, (40 women and 40 men), 19-42 years, (M= 24,1 SD= 3,76) rated themselves on a personality test. Group one, (20 women and 20 men) completed the test on paper. Group two, (20 women and 20 men) completed the test verbally.

The purpose of this essay is to acquire variables that explain and may be used as a base for wage estimation in the private sector in Sweden. The factors that are assumed to have an impact on wage estimation are based on earlier Swedish and international studies. Business survey data, which is based upon monthly questions to firms in various sectors of the Swedish economy posed by the Swedish National Institute of Economic Research, will be analyzed to find out weather they have an impact on Swedish wage settings or not. Tests including business survey data are yet rarely frequent, why this essay will be some kind of a pioneer within the area. To estimate significant factors that influence wage setting in Sweden, three different wage equations have been modeled and tested with a regression model.

This is a study of the national test in 3rd grade. The national test is obligatory and is conducted in 5th and 9th grade, but since the spring of 2009 the tests also become mandatory in 3rd grade. The case study of this research is to find out how children in 3rd grade perceive the purpose of the national test. The survey should also clarify how students think and feel about the national test, and how they feel before the national test and after they have finished writing the test. Has the test positive or negative influence on children? The survey will also show how much teachers clarify what the significance of the national test is for the students.

Att genomföra ett test som alltid ger samma resultat kan i längden kännas omotiverat. Strauss test är ett test som funnits länge för att testa stålets känslighet mot interkristallin korrosion. I detta arbete har Strauss test utvärderats i syftet att få fram ett underlag som kan användas för att starta diskussioner om en förändring i provningsmetodiken. Anledningen till att en förändring behövs är att alla dessa, ej informativa, tester kostar pengar. För att få fram underlaget har en litteraturstudie och experiment genomförts.

This bachelor thesis includes two different manuals and design of an interface box between a test object and a general test station (computer) with ARINC429 communication.There are three different purposes with this project:The first is to setup a general test station with ARINC429 communication using a communications card from DDC (DD-42916i3-300) and software from Ampol Technologies (dataSIMS).The second is to design a new interface between the test computer and the test object. As well as implementing two components in the equipment.The third is to write two separate manuals to guide the users of this equipment. There are two different kinds of users of this equipment, technicians and system engineers. Technicians use the equipment to test and repair flight components. System engineers will implement new components in the equipment.The result of this project is a working test station with a new interface and two manuals..

Problem: Hur påverkar bokfört värde på eget kapital och redovisat resultat, marknadsvärdet för svenska bolag? Är dessa nämnda mått att anse som värderelevanta och i så fall har de blivit mer eller mindre värderelevanta efter införandet av IFRS i Sverige?Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka om redovisningsinformationen som svenska företag publicerar har blivit mer användbar för de aktörer som värdesätter bolagen på aktiemarknaden.Teorier: Vi har i uppsatsen använt oss av teorier som vi anser är relevanta och applicerbara på vår studie. Samtliga teorier är: Definition av värderelevans, Den effektiva marknaden, Externredovisningens uppgift, redovisningens kvalitativa kriterier samt företagens intressenter.Metod: Metoden vi har valt är ett marknadsassociationstest. Mer precist har vi använt oss av två olika statistiska analysmetoder, ett Chow-test samt en multipel regressionsanalys.Resultat: Både korrelationen och den justerade förklaringsgraden har ökat efter implementeringen av IFRS, däremot har lutningskoefficienterna blivit något lägre.Slutsatser: Utifrån resultaten kan vi konstatera att värderelevansen för bokfört eget kapital samt redovisat resultat har ökat efter implementeringen av IFRS i Sverige. Redovisat resultat är det mått som har högst värderelevans dock har bokfört värde på eget kapital totalt sett haft en kraftigare ökning..

Syfte: att undersöka om resultatet vid 6-minuters gångtest (6MWT) påverkades av ökad grad av uppmuntran.Metod: 30 friska personer ?60 år rekryterades via bekvämlighetsurval. Alla testpersoner genomförde tre 6MWT. Första testet var en försöksomgång. Ett test (test A) utfördes med standardiserad uppmuntran enligt American Thoracic Society(ATS).
